Michelle began gymnastics at the age of five. By the age of ten she began competing in regional competitions. At the age of 13 she was awarded "Most Dedicated Gymnast" by Bela Karolyi and the coming year won multiple first place all-around awards. After sustaining a back injury she quit competing and began coaching. At 15 she found dance, first at 620 Dance Centre then Genesis Dance Academy, then she made her home at Broadway Dance and Fitness. She competed on the Broadway Dance Team for three years. There she got the opportunity to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade, received a scholarship to the Rockette Summer Intensive, and was involved in the teacher intern program. At her last Nationals in Las Vegas she received a convention award and the "Dance Spirit" award. She also performed in a semi proffesional ballet company where she got to perform The Nutcracker.After her first year teaching and assisting the team at Broadway she was accepted into the BFA Dance Program at University of Texas. After graduation she plans to move to LA and pursue a proffesional dance career.
